Gina Aiello Pfund brings 27 years of sound legal expertise and compassionate advocacy to her role as Staff Attorney, where she is dedicated to empowering survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. She specializes in providing trauma-informed guidance to help clients obtain protective orders and safely move through the often-overwhelming family court system.
Before transitioning to direct survivor representation, Gina began her career in public service as a prosecutor. She held vital leadership roles, including Chief of the Passaic County Domestic Violence Unit and Chief of the Passaic County Sexual Investigations Unit, before ultimately being promoted to Executive First Assistant Prosecutor. Throughout nearly three decades of public service—beginning at the Bronx District Attorney’s Office and continuing through her tenure at the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office—she directed complex investigations, approved search warrants and criminal complaint investigations, and conducted dozens of bench and jury trials, testimonial hearings, and grand jury presentations. This extensive background gives her an intimate, comprehensive understanding of how the justice system operates and how to make it work effectively for survivors.
A recognized educator, Gina has also served as a Certified Law Enforcement Instructor for 20 years, training law enforcement and legal professionals on the nuances of intimate partner violence laws and procedures under “The Prevention of Domestic Violence Act of 1991.” Her dedication to systemic change and education extends to academia, where she continues to serve as a college adjunct instructor teaching diverse criminal justice curricula.
Today, Gina channels her decades of criminal prosecutorial experience and seasoned courtroom presence into a steadfast shield for survivors. Recognizing the immense courage it takes to come forward, she is deeply committed to walking alongside her clients, providing the sound legal advice, steady guidance, and resolute advocacy required to help ensure their safety, dignity, and long-term peace of mind.
