3rd Annual Break the Cycle Walk to Promote Domestic Violence Awareness Month
October, the month marked by falling leaves, pumpkin spice lattes, and a warm autumn glow, is also a time for another important initiative – Domestic Violence Awareness month. Every year, during this month, the Partners community came together to participate in the Break the Cycle Walk dedicated to supporting domestic violence victims and the work Partners does to transform their lives. This event shines a light on an issue that often hides in the shadows, bringing hope, awareness, and funds to those who need it most.
Domestic violence is a pervasive issue that affects countless individuals and families across the globe. It knows no boundaries and can happen to anyone, regardless of age, gender, race, or socioeconomic status. To combat this deeply rooted problem, Partners is there with clients in the courtroom to get them the justice they deserve as well as working in Trenton to attack the problem from a systemic angle, as well as hosting events and fundraisers to empower victims improve domestic violence awareness in our communities.
Held on October 22nd at the South Mountain Reservoir’s Clipper Pavilion in West Orange, the event was the third annual Walk held by Partners. It was a crisp yet sunny morning when friends, families, and supporters all gathered together. The event kicks off with an inspirational speech to motivate the participants from Partners Board of Trustees member and Managing Partner of Cole Schotz, Randi Kochman. This emotional and empowering atmosphere sets the tone for the walk.

After a scenic walk (one, two, or even three laps depending on the walkers!) around the gorgeous scenery of South Mountain Reservoir, walkers were able to enjoy breakfast and each other’s company. A special shout-out to the team from McManimon, Scotland & Baumann for rocking their electric lime green shirts and showing their true support for the clients of Partners.
