On a beautiful Saturday morning, Partners had the privilege of hosting a special Family Day for multiple families affected by domestic violence. Held at Van Saun Park in Paramus, NJ, the event brought together 22 individuals from five families for a memorable day of fun, connection, and healing.
The highlight of the day was a trip to the Bergen County Zoo, where the families were treated to an up-close look at a variety of fascinating animals. Children and parents alike marveled at the sight of capybaras lounging by the water, the majestic mountain lion prowling its enclosure, and the enchanting snowy owl perched serenely. The joy and excitement on the faces of the children as they explored the zoo were truly heartwarming.
In addition to the animal exhibits, the families enjoyed rides on the park’s charming carousel and scenic train, adding an extra layer of delight to the morning. The laughter and smiles shared during these activities underscored the importance of moments like these for families who have endured so much.
After a morning filled with exploration and excitement, the families gathered for a communal lunch, generously provided by our sponsors where everyone enjoyed a delicious and nourishing meal together. This time allowed families to relax, connect, and share their experiences in a supportive environment.
