Partners (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects the privacy of users of its website located at http://www.partnersnj.org (“the Site”). We have created this privacy policy (this “Privacy Policy”) because we know that you care about how information you provide to us is used and shared. This Privacy Policy relates to the information collection and use practices of Partners in connection with our Site. By visiting, accessing and/or using our Site, you are agreeing to the terms of this Privacy Policy and the accompanying Terms of Use.
Capitalized terms not defined in this Privacy Policy shall have the meaning set forth in our Terms of Use.
Information We Collect and/or Receive
In the course of operating the Site, Partners will collect (and/or receive) the following types of information.
Contact Information
If you would like to receive our newsletters or if you would like to make a donation, you will be asked to provide your personal information such as your name and email address (collectively, the “Contact Information”). The Contact Information is used to provide the requested service or information, and to contact you for purposes of direct marketing of our current and future services. If you make a donation, your Contact Information will be added to our donation database so that we can keep track of your donation history. We may use your Contact Information to send donation acknowledgement letters to you.
Volunteer Information
If you would like to become a volunteer for any of our programs, you will be asked to provide your personal information such as your name, email address, mailing address, phone number and any other information that is required by Partners to complete your registration as a program volunteer (collectively, the “Volunteer Information”). The Volunteer Information is used by Partners to engage volunteers for Partner’s events and charitable activities.
Billing Information
Payments for all donations and Fees are processed by our Third Party Payment Vendor. We do not collect, store, or maintain any billing information, such as debit card numbers, credit card numbers, billing addresses, and similar information (collectively, the “Billing Information”). All such Billing Information is collected and processed through such Third Party Payment Vendor pursuant to the terms and conditions of its privacy policies and terms of use.
Other Information
In addition to the Contact Information, and Volunteer Information that you voluntarily provide to us, we may collect additional information (collectively, the “Other Information”). Such Other Information may include:
- From Your Activity. Information that we automatically collect when you visit the Site, such as your IP addresses, browser type and language, referring and exit pages and URLs, date and time, amount of time spent on particular pages, what sections of the Site you visit, and similar information concerning your use of the Site.
- From Cookies. Information that we collect using “cookie” technology. Cookies are small packets of data that a website stores on your computer’s hard drive so that your computer will “remember” information about your visit. You authorize us to use the Contact Information, Volunteer Information, and Other Information (collectively, the “Information”) to provide the Site to you, solicit your feedback, inform you about our products and services and those of our third-party marketing partners, and to improve the Site. - Agents, Providers and Related Third Parties. We may engage other companies and individuals to perform certain business-related functions on our behalf. Examples may include providing technical assistance, order fulfillment, customer service, and marketing assistance. If you request removal of your personal information, you acknowledge that residual information may continue to reside in the records and archives of Partners, but Partners will not use that information. Partners reserves the right to maintain your personal information to enforce our rights or for tracking purposes if Partners has suspended, limited, or terminated your access to our Site for violating the Terms of Use of this Site.
In addition, you may manage your receipt of marketing and non-transactional communications by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link located on the bottom of any Partners marketing email or by contacting us by email at development@pfwj.org. You cannot opt out of receiving transactional e-mails related to your account. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to process such requests in a timely manner. You should be aware, however, that it is not always possible to completely remove or modify information in our subscription databases.
Choices You Have
As outlined in this Privacy Policy, you can always choose not to provide information; however, doing so may prevent you from making a donation or accessing other valuable features at our Site.

You may be able to access third party websites through links available on this Site. We make these links available solely as a convenience to you. You understand and agree that your use of such third party sites will be governed by the privacy policies of those sites and not by this Privacy Policy. Partners for Women and Justice will not be responsible for the actions of the operators of such third party websites and disclaims any and all responsibility for your access to and use of such web sites, as well as for any use of the Information that you may provide to, or any information that may be collected about you at, such web sites. We do not control these external websites and cannot guarantee their practices regarding data privacy and security. We do not endorse or make any representation about these other websites.

In addition, Partners does not monitor, recognize, or honor any opt-out or do not track mechanisms, including general web browser “Do Not Track” settings and/or signals.
Important Notice to Non-U.S. Residents
The Site and its servers are operated in the United States. Please be aware that your Information, including your personal information, may be transferred to, processed, maintained, and used on computers, servers, and systems located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the privacy laws may not be as protective as those in your jurisdiction. Children
Partners does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to help enforce our Privacy Policy by instructing their children to never provide information on this Site without their permission. If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us, and we will endeavor to delete that information from our databases.
