Tia Denise joined Partners as Director of Administration and Finance in July 2022. She provides day-to-day management of all financial, budgeting, audit, and human resource functions, and she works closely with the Executive Director and leadership to create the overall financial strategy for Partners and to establish and implement short- and long-term organizational goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
Tia Denise has over fifteen years’ experience supporting large nonprofits and institutes of higher education, including the University of Virginia and Columbia University. Specifically, she oversaw the day-to-day administrative, financial, and non-clinical activities for her areas and provided strategic advice and recommendations to leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of HRM and financial systems. She also provided technical expertise and expert knowledge of grant accounting practices, university policies, and sponsor guidelines and regulations and helped to analyze, design, and implement internal reporting systems.
Tia Denise holds a bachelor’s in interdisciplinary studies and a certificate in nonprofit management from the University of Virginia and a certificate in research administration from the Research Administrators Certification Council.
